China Star - Dunedin

Ordered the curry and onion dish for lunch. Ready quickly and fair price. It was loaded with onions which were perfectly prepared. The rice was moist and had a nice flavor. They fell short by giving me 8 tiny pieces of chicken that I had to search for. I know food is more expensive to prepare but this was a huge let down. The flavor of the food was very good but with such a small amount of chicken, it was overpriced. The to go containers allow the food to leak so you miss out on some of that yummy sauce because it's at the bottom of the bag. Now the containers are covered in sauce and it is impossible to not make a mess.

I have lived close by for nearly 6 years. Decided I wanted Chinese food tonight so stopped in on the way home. Service was great, very quick and nice people. Wow.... Food was amazing! I had spring rolls... veggie (I'm a life long Vegetarian) and they were great... crispy, clean and yummy. Didn't taste like they were cooked in old oil which happens alot. They were delicious! Got veggie fried rice also. Veggies were not just a few square carrots out of a frozen box of veggies, they were REAL veggies, broccoli, mushrooms, onions, carrots etc. real big pieces, not frozen at all. Really yummy and I couldn't stop eating it all. Have some left over for tomorrow but I will be back. Loved it. Atmosphere isn't great coz It's just a take out place, but I loved it!

Please fix your fried rice. It’s terrible all the time. It looks and taste like mush.There is no veggies in it. Not a pea. Bring this restaurant back to life! We miss you!

General tso wasn’t good. boring sauce and the chicken wasn’t good either . 3 stars for quickness and friendly service

Hot and sour soup was excellent...but crunchy crackers were hard and didn't seem fresh.
