Bone marrow was so delicious and well cooked, l really enjoyed and recommend it as starter. I had fillet steak for main course and it was delicious and perfectly cooked. They also serve vegetables and fries with steak. The place is not so big and music is not loud which is good. The prices are average for Dublin
Popped in for lunch. It was OK. I had the sandwich of the day and my wife had the fish and chips. The sandwich was hardly a sandwich. Had to go looking for the meat!! The fish and chips were tasty but the batter was very soggy underneath. They should ditch the black paper they're using as that's probably the cause. I had a pint of Guinness. It looked like a pint I would have received in Canada. Criminal to be less than 1km from the Guinness Brewery and a pint like this is served. Proud of the rim folks, always proud of the rim. Anything else is unacceptable. I did like the plain glass it was served in however. Old school. Staff were pleasant but weren't intersted. For example, we finished our pints and they just came and took the glasses. I was ready to order two more, (Not Guinness) but they were gone in a flash.
Service and atmosphere were amazing. Can really fault them at all for it. The steak was a little disappointing especially for the price. The cuts were great and tender for the most part but they were a lil dry and not massively flavour full. I've had much nicer steaks in Dublin for half the price
My last night in Dublin, and I wanted to treat myself to a good steak dinner. The Bull and Castle, far and away, exceeded my greatest expectations on food, service, atmosphere, and even price! Wonderful way to cap off a short first time stay in Ireland!
