Bon Voyage - Dresden

The staff was very accommodating. The room was clean. However, I suspect because of Germany 's ongoing energy crisis, the room was a little cold. Working the furnace was a little bit difficult. W-Fi was good. Location was good, it 's in the new city and walking distance from plenty of restaurants and bars. It is still a walking distance from the old city too. It was a nice independently, owned hostel. I would return.

This was a really great hostel. It was super clean, the bed was very comfy and the rooms were very large with their own bathroom, so even if you are sharing the room with 9 other people, it's not that bad. I went on a Monday and Tuesday so there weren't a lot of people there which sucked a little because the bar in the lobby must be very cool when there's a lot of guess. Staff were super nice. I don't recommend getting the breakfast tho since it's pretty high priced for what it is, there's a rewe close by where you can get the same thing for way less.

The idea of Hotel Mondpalast is great a bohemian place where all kinds of travelers can stay and relax. The execution, however, is a different story. We were greeted by a woman who was rather curt, and went to our room sans a 10 euro deposit for the key. I started to assemble the folded up bed sheets to discover 10 or so insects crawling around! We notified the staff and they quickly assured us they were not bedbugs and switched us to a new room, which had no bugs as far as I could tell. Despite the new room, I couldn't help but feel that the place wasn't very sanitary. Some other major downsides include the pricey wifi and breakfast, and the staff's rather unfriendly feeling. However, the artwork is commendable, as is the location.
