Pep's Place - Dollar Point

Muffin and bagel are both delicious, and you can tell that they have different intentions than chain or restaurant breakfasts. The coffee is surprisingly delicious, and the owner is very polite and courteous. This is my second visit to this small shop and I still like it very much.

I 'm sad to give this review. The people seemed genuinely nice and it 's a great location in Tahoe Vista. Very clean inside, but I should have lowered my expectations when there are no customers on a Saturday morning. The dark roast drip coffee was watered down and simply awful. Not stale or cold, just poorly executed. worse than motel breakfast coffee. The $15 chorizo breakfast burrito was served fast and fresh but it was so tiny. It tasted ok but not a good recipe. If you are going to have quinoa in a burrito after I explicitly asked for 'NO quinoa ' then it better be good. Also, my burrito had bacon (I think? instead of chorizo. I got the sense that the owners/management are new and simply doesn 't know anything about making coffee or food. To be fair my breakfast burrito+coffee standards are high coming from the bay area where even the most humble places can be great.

This is the best coffee shop I’ve found in the basin! their espresso is the very best tasting and their menu is delicious and eclectic. They even have tasty gluten-free options! The staff are always joyful and personable and it makes my day to stop in and see them. Dietary restrictions: gluten feee options are on point!

The place is super cute. Definitely take advantage of the pepper hot sauce. It make the breakfast burrito taste 10x better.
