Bean & Grain - Dickson

Not sure about this place. Maybe we got them on a bad morning but I felt like I was an inconvenience for them. I ended up getting the cheapest thing on the menu as they don't seem to accomodate changes to the menu. My partner ordered the eggs benedict which was really quite bland and very average considering the price. They seem to have spent a lot on the fitout of the place but not a lot on training their staff in customer service.

Very disappointing, for the price I I was expecting a bit more. The waiters got my order wrong, then they forgot the order. The poached eggs were like hard boiled eggs, coffee mediocre. Waste of money

I asked for the eggs benedict. The meal comes out and there are streamers of egg white trailing all over the place. The egg itself has collapsed, a skin of protein failing to contain a leaking mess of raw egg white and yolk. The bread is soggy with the cooking water. The Hollandaise is foamy. The smoked salmon has that brown crust that forms when it's been out of the packet and unwrapped for too long. I am shocked anyone plated this up and brought it to the table and said 'here you go sir, enjoy'. I ask for it to be done again. You know what's coming next, you just know... Yep, eggs poached until hard, crumbling yolks, passive-aggression on a plate. I get up and walk away. The bread here is phenomenal and the people are friendly, but the kitchen is an absolute clownshow.

Whatever coffee they use its horrible ???? tasted burnt & absolutely no love taken to make my latte. Hire a barista! The food and bread are nice so I was disappointed

Food was very underwhelming for the price. We asked for a half serve of eggs on toast for a child and they charged us a dollar more than a full server of the same dish!!! We got a refund but only after a heated exchange...would not recommend.
