Bidrage med feedbackI traveled by plane to try what I had heard were the best fish and chips in Michigan. I was not disappointed - it was amazing. The fish was the best roasted cod I have ever had, and the fried shrimp were also very good. The fries were also delicious. The coleslaw was not my favorite as I prefer creamy dressing, but that didn't take away from the fact that the banana cream cake I had for dessert was the best thing I have ever tasted. I even asked if I could take a whole cake to go, but was disappointed to find out they only had one piece left.
Best fishing and chips round. a real shade. everyone so polite and pleasant. thank you.
I have to say, this is the best fish and chips I have ever had. Even my Scottish grandmother, may she rest in peace, agreed and approved. I found out something interesting - the name of the owner was James Simpson and he was originally from Scotland. It was James Simpson who founded the restaurant in 1950, and I assume the Scottish clientele affectionately referred to him as "Scotty."
We went out to dinner with some friends. My husband used to work at Scotty Simpson many years ago, so it was a trip down memory lane. There were plenty of parking spaces available on the street.
Seriously hands down without a doubt the best fish n chips AND chicken strips i have ever had. Couldn't taste grease in the slightest, best batter ever, meat was SO FRESH it seemed to just melt in my mouth. My family all the way back to my grandparents always raved about this place but this was my first time going. A true gem. And the service was perfect. Never waited for a drink refill either. Thanks guys for the best dining in experience ive had in forever!!!
