Benson's - Denbighshire

The restroom is comparable to that of a developing country, there is dispute among the bar staff, and the only redeeming quality is the television screens for watching sports.

A staff member who had clearly stated she was off work at 17:00 was still behind the bar at 23:00, heavily intoxicated and behaving erratically. She stumbled and shouted around the bar, and approached our group aggressively, accusing one of us of calling her a derogatory term. This led to further disruptions when her daughter, who was also a staff member, approached us in a confrontational manner with her hand down her trousers. Our intention was to enjoy a quiet evening with friends, watching boxing, but the staff's unprofessional behavior ruined the experience. I would recommend avoiding this place entirely, unless you want to be falsely accused of mistreating the staff.

Very rude staff and anti-welsh.. in Wales. Unfortunately, this made a day trip to Llangollen very unpleasant, luckily other pubs and places around the town made up for it!

We went in hoping to grab a drink and enjoy a view of the river, but were let down on both counts. The beer was subpar and we didn't even end up drinking it. Additionally, the restaurant was in disrepair and we couldn't even get outside to see the river view. The lack of atmosphere was also disappointing. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant.

Went to try and see the match between Sheffield Wednesday and Sunderland Staff were lovely but they had the jukebox blearing out. Only customers in there wanted to view match. I asked if they would put the match commentey on which they did but the music continued to blare out. I noticed people walking past seeing the match was on but repelled by the music walking on . Terribly disappointed because Bensons is my go to place when visiting Llangollen.
