Followed Lisa and Colin from The Old Smithy. Had a lovely meal (Fish and Chips and Peri Peri Chicken Sizzler) and chat and couldn't do anymore to make our visit enjoyable. I was moored up between Midland Chandler's and Braunston locks. I walked straight past the Boat House and up the hill to this little gem. Three nights, two steaks and a liver and onion. Guinness, Doombar, Hobgoblin Ruby, Inches cider, Moretti and Cruzcampo. Plenty of parking out the back. Pool table. Indoor table skittles. Three large TVs across two bars. Garden. If I lived close, it would be my local. Price per person: £20–30
