The Singing Kettle - Dartmouth

The restaurant recently changed ownership, and unfortunately, there's limited awareness of coeliac needs. Currently, the menu is mostly restricted to salad options.

This restaurant offers a gluten-free menu that features a variety of options, including sandwiches, scones for a gluten-free cream tea, and jacket potatoes. The staff is extremely friendly and willing to check the ingredients of cakes not made in-house for any other allergens. I especially enjoyed the gluten-free seeded bread and the carrot cake, both of which were delicious.

This morning, my wife Jane and I went out for coffee, tea, and cake. The atmosphere was lovely, and the people were very friendly. It’s a beautiful spot to enjoy a cup of coffee, and I highly recommend visiting if you're in Dartmouth.

Although I couldn’t finish my Victorian sponge cake, which was delightful, I may have overdone it on the order. Thankfully, the lovely waitress offered me a box so I could save it for later to enjoy with my evening tea, and it was just as delicious. Thank you to the Singing Kettle for making our weekend even more memorable. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in Dartmouth, even if it’s just for the milkshakes!

This is one of the friendliest and most welcoming tea rooms and restaurants we have visited. The cakes were delicious, and the hospitality was exceptional. I would highly recommend it to everyone. I absolutely loved it and can’t wait to go back!
