Absolutely stop by! We in Darfield take immense pride in this place. It's the best bakery around and a fantastic spot for lunch or a quick snack. The coffee is also highly sought after and comes from a great source.

As the rain began to pour, I found myself sitting in the car. I placed the pie on the scales on the passenger seat, where it weighed in at 297 grams, making it the largest pie I've had so far. I thought the soft seat might be the reason for the weight, so I carefully tried to move it to the flat dashboard. Unfortunately, my scales were a bit slippery, and the pie slid off, bouncing off the center console, my leg, and the brake pedal, before landing on the plastic mat. I had a bit of a struggle retrieving it but managed to do so just within the 15-second rule (isn't it 15 seconds?). The photo shows the pie after its tumble, and despite the fall, it held together surprisingly well. Notably, it also exceeded 300 grams! I found the pastry to be a bit thick in some spots, but it still met the quality typical of a good Kiwi bakery. The filling was outstanding, with the perfect blend of smoky beef, cheese, and jalapenos. It was a delicious pie, one that I believe would impress most pie lovers, and I’d rate it a solid 9.5/10. I also tried a sausage roll, but it was quite underwhelming and had an odd taste (maybe there was some clown meat in it?).

I've visited this restaurant numerous times over the past few years, and it never fails to impress. The pizzas, sausage rolls, cakes, and coffee are all fantastic. They offer sauce for dine-in customers, and the dog-friendly courtyard is a nice touch. The staff are incredibly friendly as well.
