If you’re looking on Baidu Maps it’s called 夏尔布馋素食, the same as the Chinese on the sign. It looks like it used to be two restaurants: hotpot on the first floor and other vegetarian food on the second floor, but the second-floor restaurant moved a few blocks away, so it’s just hotpot now. The hotpot is good. The two broths I tried were good (and they were the cheaper ones). The selection of veggies is good. The selection of sauces is good enough. It’s “small hotpot” (each person gets their own pot), and you pay based on which broth you choose. After that, it’s all inclusive. Biggest drawback is there were several fruit flies in the restaurant and who’s to say they didn’t get on all the food sitting out for the hotpot buffet. Most stuff you’re going to boil anyway, but not the sauces.
There is no reason to go to a normal hot pot restaurant if you have the choice to go to a vegan one in this restaurant you have a great variety of vegetables, noodles and tofu. Everything is fresh, tasty and inexpensive. Highly recommended place!
It's not easy to find a fully vegan hot pot restaurant, mainly due to the broth often being made with bone, gristle or other animal byproducts. Excellent selection of vegetables and leaves to add to the hot pot itself. A novel dining experience.
