Bidrage med feedbackThere are so many chippies in Britain that the competition is fierce, but strangely there are not many chippies in croydon city. while I made a walk to cherry orchard, I discovered herrn chippy, who specializes in fish and chips. I didn't try them at my first visit because I had dinner before, but I was impressed by the young because when I asked about huh, they said a fresh batch came out. I only knew this place will be good because I love their real efforts to offer the best to the customer so I can understand why they were presented on channel 4’s food unwrapped. a week later we started eating back for something and tried the chips with huh, spicy wings...more
There are so many chippies in UK that competition is fierce yet strangely there are not many chippies in Croydon town. While I was taking a walk to down Cherry Orchard I discovered Mr Chippy which specializes in fish and chips.I didn't try them on my first visit because I already had a commitment for dinner but I was impressed with the guys because when I asked about chicken, they said a fresh batch was coming out.I just knew this place was going to be good because I love their genuine endeavours serving the best to customers so I can understand why they were featured on Channel Food unwrapped.Went back a week later for some food and tried the chips with chicken, spicy wings, Southern fried fish bites and a regular battered fish bite. The fish bites were really surprising because I was expecting small pieces but they were fish tails which are my favourite part of the fish so next time I'm going to order it again. The amazing thing was that after a walk home, the fish batter was still light and crispy. However I couldn't quite taste the difference between the battered and Southern coating (non spicy) because they were quite similar, but anyway I'll be back for them so will get the spicy one next time. They also have grilled fish too.As well as the fish, the chips were also the star of the show, just how I like them ie not greasy. You can always tell if a chip is good visually and by taste, well I can because my tastebuds are sensitive and also by smell because there isn't a greasy smell from the chips or in the shop. The spicy wings were similar to the ones you get from the chicken shop but there was an extra tikka kick to it.After finishing the food, I still felt hungry which is a sign of a good chippy because it doesn't leave you bloated.Overall, highly recommended if you are in the area.I can't wait until lockdown is over because I'd rather dine it.
After fulfilling my democratic duty and voting, I stumbled upon a fish shop with a delightful aroma of fried fish. Despite the high price tag of £13 for cod and chips, my friend graciously offered to split the cost. To my surprise, they had my favorite topping - ****** red salt - which I hadn't found in any southern establishments. The cod was beautifully battered and the chips were hot and fluffy, with no hint of old oil flavor. The quality and service justified the price, and I will definitely be returning in the future. This was the best fish and chips I've had since 2017. This review is not sponsored, I just appreciate good food and tend to be a bit dramatic. XOXO, E.
The food at this restaurant is incredible with amazing portion sizes. I highly recommend it for satisfying your hunger and tantalizing your taste buds.
I decided to try this restaurant after seeing the delicious looking food on their Instagram page. Unfortunately, the chips I ordered were not as good as they looked in the pictures, as most of them were small and crunchy bits. However, the fish was excellent and I really enjoyed that. I gave the restaurant another chance and this time the staff were friendly and welcoming. It's definitely worth a visit, especially if you are looking for Halal options.
