Bidrage med feedbackI never offer a review, but this place is so bad that people need to know. Avoid at all costs. Terrible all round. Worst food i’ve had in Boston?
Rich with history, the Union Oyster House is worth experiencing at least once. The food is expensive and the quality is mediocre at best. Service is usually pretty slow. We’ve been several times now with out of town guests who want to experience the place, and the lobster ravioli seems to be pretty consistently good. Everything else we’ve tried here is just not that great…bland, flavorless and overpriced.
Been here several times now and always great food. Wonderful old building.
Loved everything about Union Oyster House the clam chowder, the atmosphere and vibe, the service!
Bland and expensive, the Union Oyster House is not selling food as much as touristy goodness (oldest restaurant in America, JFK’s favorite booth, etc. . You can eat all the Boston foods you’ve always heard about: Boston baked beans, Boston cream pie, and clam chowder. The clam chowder was good. The cream pie was good. All the seafood dishes my party ordered were simply mediocre. $60 a person should be better than that. If I find myself there again (I don’t intend to , I’ll just order two bowls of clam chowder, cream pie, and coffee. Skip the beans; my baked bean fantasies have been irrevocably shattered.
