Bidrage med feedbackI visited this restaurant before a Red Sox game, and it really captures an authentic vibe. I tried one of each taco: grilled chicken, grilled steak, and braised pork. They were all topped similarly with pickled cabbage, beans, cucumber, and salsa. Each taco was cooked exceptionally well; however, I found the steak a bit dry, though it still had great flavor. The food was prepared quickly, easy to eat, and reasonably priced.
What's happened to Pelón? It used to be my favorite place, but lately, the quality has really declined. Tonight, I found a large chunk of tomato in my food, and I think we can all agree that’s not pico de gallo. The rice and guacamole in the burrito were also bland. I'm really disappointed.
The caramelos are amazing, and you get a generous portion of food for such an affordable price.
I absolutely love this place! I’ve been a frequent visitor since I moved to Boston in 2018, and even now that I live outside the city, I still make the trip just to enjoy it. My go-to order is the el guapo burrito and the plantains, and they never disappoint—always perfect! We recommend it to everyone who visits, hoping they enjoy it as much as we do.
I took our college student and their four friends out to eat, and all six of us loved our meals. The menu had the ingredients listed, but be sure to mention any food sensitivities when you place your order. I have to say, my beans were cooked perfectly, which impressed me. Our total, including a generous tip, came to $103. It was a fantastic night out!
