Bidrage med feedbackTakeout Review: I placed an order during a weekday lunch to give this place a try. In comparison to other Mediterranean/Turkish restaurants I frequent, Samdan was just alright. The order was well-prepared, packed efficiently, and delivered within an hour. I opted for the Eggplant tomato and calf liver appetizers, as well as the ground chicken kebab. The portion sizes were good and the food tasted decent. However, I was slightly disappointed with the calf liver as it was not cooked to my liking. The chicken kebab also lacked some flavor.
"The Mediterranean cuisine at this restaurant is excellent. The food is delicious, especially the in-house bread and olive oil. I highly recommend trying the Chicken Chops in the grilled kabobs. And don't miss out on the shepherd salad."
I would like to congratulate the new owner, Yusuf, on the recent upgrades he has brought to the restaurant, including a new menu featuring delicious seafood dishes. One of my favorites is the Octopus Carpaccio, which I believe has a Michelin star quality taste with its unique sauce. The newly hired chefs definitely deserve credit for their skills. I used to order filet mignon take-outs from another restaurant almost weekly, but ever since trying the Saslik from Samdan, I have switched over. The Saslik, made with specially marinated filet mignon served with potato puree and a secret sauce, is absolutely mouthwatering. My family now orders from Samdan weekly for our family dinners. The photo attached shows the take-out order of Saslik, paired beautifully with a cabernet red wine. Cheers to delicious food and great company!
This was my first time trying Turkish food, and I loved it! The food came out almost immediately and was light yet satisfying.
If you like Mediterranean food, you will love this place.
