Bidrage med feedbackWhen additional members of our party approached the podium after receiving the same text about the table being ready, they were still directed to the same table that now had even more unfamiliar faces seated at it. Logic would dictate that the hostess would apologize to the other diners and ask them to wait, especially since that table couldn't even accommodate their entire group. Instead, we were told that the manager would have to handle it, but he didn't show up for another 10 to 15 minutes. When he finally arrived, he refused to ask the other party to move. As a result, we had to wait an additional 15 to 20 minutes to be seated on the patio. To add to our discomfort, the patio was not enclosed, and it was a chilly 54 degrees with the wind blowing. If we had a backup plan, we would have left immediately, but that wasn’t an option. So we sat outside in the cold, alongside my 93-year-old father (bundled up by the outdoor fireplace), family who had driven in from Arizona for the special occasion, and the birthday girl, who had recently lost her father and undergone a double mastectomy due to cancer. The manager, unaware of our circumstances, showed no interest in resolving the staff's error. His solution was to offer us some complimentary appetizers. I will never return to Wood Ranch. This was my second visit; the first time at a different location ended with us leaving after waiting 35 minutes at our table without anyone approaching us. On that occasion, the manager chased us out the door offering free dessert. Instead of handing out free food, how about training managers and staff to appropriately handle situations and rectify mistakes? While the food was great and our waiter was wonderful, that's not enough to bring me or anyone else in my group back again.
This was my first visit, and although the restaurant was busy, the wait wasn't too long. I ordered a Cadillac Margarita on the rocks from the bar, while my wife chose the Tennessee Peach cocktail. Both drinks were fantastic! The food was incredibly tasty; the Tri-Tip French dip was likely the best I've ever had! The balsamic glazed Brussels sprouts were exceptional as well. Everything we tried was delicious! To top it off, I was surprised with an ice cream sundae as a birthday treat.
I always have a wonderful time at this restaurant. The food is comforting, the drinks are excellent, and the staff is friendly.
I've had some good experiences at Good Wood Ranch in the past and usually look forward to dining here. Unfortunately, my last two visits have been extremely disappointing, particularly due to the poor quality of the meat served. This time I opted for a salad, which was decent, but I came for the barbecue. I must commend the service staff, who were friendly and accommodating; I can't fault them at all. However, the issue lies with the kitchen and the declining quality of the food they are serving.
The restaurant is situated at The Shops At Dos Lagos in Corona, surrounded by a variety of other restaurants and shops. They offer a diverse selection of dishes, including seafood, salads, meats, and a wide range of drinks. Additionally, there is free parking and WiFi available. Overall, the food was very good, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. The service was excellent, and the prices were reasonable.
