The Rising Sun Inn Pub

The last time we visited The Rising Sun was when Michael Jackson's "One Day in Your Life" was released, and it was playing on repeat in the upstairs bar. It was a beautiful summer, and my wife and I were there with our two young children. Whenever I hear that song now, it brings back fond memories of that special time in our lives.

We stumbled upon this inn by accident and ended up staying for three days. Sharon and her family are amazing hosts. There are great hikes directly from the inn, which were perfect for tiring out my hyperactive spouse before enjoying a traditional English breakfast. The lunch and evening meals were fantastic pub-style food at a reasonable price. Be sure to try the custard with dessert - just like grandma used to make. They also had vegetarian and salad options available. The accommodations were comfortable, with the sound of the crashing sea right outside our window. It was the most relaxing part of our tour of the English coastline. Thank you, Sharon, for making us feel at home. We will definitely come back if we are in the area! Cheers, Tasha and Glenn.

The crab salad was excellent and they were very welcoming towards the dogs.
