I can't believe some of the reviews, because in our experience, this pub is friendly, welcoming, and has a great atmosphere, food, and staff. This isn't our first visit to the area and we love it, feeling like part of the community every time we visit. It's easy to integrate and feel welcome whether you're local or not. We enjoyed the themed food evenings, especially the curry night with huge portions and a massive bhaji. The quiz night is also a favorite, even though we always fail miserably. The pie night, which coincides with the quiz, offers homemade pies that are massive and generously filled, with a drink included. Pete, who hosts the quiz, is excellent and includes a raffle and play your cards right for cash prizes. We were lucky enough to win a £50 prize, making up for our poor quiz performance. We have happy memories of this wonderful pub.

We stopped by for a quick lunch and drink and were pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality of the food. The portions were generous and we received a warm and friendly welcome. The atmosphere was great and the fact that it is dog-friendly was a bonus. The price per person ranged from £20 to £30. We highly recommend trying the Pizza Margherita and the Chips. Overall, we rated the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect 5 out of 5.

We stayed in the nearby parkdean holiday park and walked into Crantock Village. A great pub. Friendly service and good beer. Didn't eat here but the food smelt lovely Price per person: £10–20 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
