Lucca - CONSHOHOCKEN

Better than most but too noisy for me. Will go back.

My husband and I attempt to travel around locally to discover great establishments this is one that meets all of our expectations! We ate at the bar great bartender (TJ , other guests were personable, amazing wine, excellent food (we had pizza, brussels, kale salad, short rib rigatoni and salmon! Buzzing atmosphere happening scene. A must try if you like a lively atmosphere.

Very good pizza! I love their pizza! The cheese is melting when you don’t ask for the pizza ‘well done,’ but that’s one of the things I like about the pizza! The service is very good! And the atmosphere is great! Definitely recommend! Also the Nutella doughnuts are a 11/10! Good job bar Lucca!

After dining at Bar Sera and Stone Rose a few times, I had high expectations for Bar Lucca. Upon arrival, we waited for a few minutes as there was no one at the host stand. When someone finally came, they informed us that a table needed to be cleaned and they 'd be right back. I watched them clean a table, but another couple who arrived after us was seated there immediately. We had to wait for another table to be cleaned. There was a clear miscommunication at the host stand and they gave our table away. When we were finally seated, it took a long time for anyone to greet us. Our server eventually arrived (10 mins or so) but got distracted and never took our drink order, despite us being ready to order everything. She just left, which was very strange. I flagged down a manager who was running drinks, and he took our drink order. He also brought our drinks and offered us a complimentary burrata to get us back on track. However, he never checked back with us after that. We had the calamari, which was well-seasoned but rubbery. The burrata was decent, served on bread with balsamic and a cherry tomato. After that, we waited over 30 minutes with no food. When we asked about our entrees, the server apologized, saying there was a big party upstairs. We requested our food to go. The manager comped a round of drinks and apologized for the delays. The pizza was okay, and the pasta had a perfect texture, but unfortunately, we ended up eating it at home. Overall, we were very disappointed with the experience. The service/timing was lacking, and the manager 's attempt to rectify the situation fell short. I would not go back here. Update: I emailed them as requested two days ago and have not received a response. This lack of follow-through is not surprising and confirms my previous concerns. Truly disappointing after several amazing experiences at there other restaurants.

Food is phenomenal, as someone who travels quite often, I consider myself to have a refined palette. The cocktail is amazing!!! I ordered corn tagliatelle and my husband got the short rib rigatoni, while the short rib rigatoni is good, the corn tagliatelle is just next level. Pasta is freshly made, service is good! Though it’s busy but our waitress is very nice and even noticed me and my husband switched our food. The little personal touch is always appreciated. The only thing I would like to mention is that the background music is a bit too loud. Everything else is perfection, will be back soon!!
