Johnny Brusco's New York Style Pizza

We arrived on Saturday around 6:15 and were greeted right away. Our food orders were taken by 6:30. I ordered a veggie deluxe calzone with added ham, while my daughter ordered a ham and pineapple calzone. Everyone at our table received their meals around 7:00, but I didn’t get my calzone until 7:15, and it was ham and pepperoni instead of the veggie deluxe I requested. By 7:45, my daughter still hadn’t received her food. The waiter mentioned there was a mix-up, and her order had to be remade. Everyone else had already finished eating and paid, yet she was given the check for her order without receiving her food. We didn’t see any managers or owners checking in, and there was no apology or acknowledgment of the situation. Finally, at 8:05, she received her food in a takeout box that had been sitting on top of the oven. While the waiter was young and inexperienced, he should have been able to seek help from a manager. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

The prices were a tad on the higher side, especially when they charged an extra 75 cents for honey mustard instead of the ranch that I didn't want; however, that’s not something to dwell on. My husband ordered a half BBQ chicken, half Buffalo chicken pizza, and he loved it! The individual slice of cheese pizza for my child was quite generous and oh-so-delicious. We also enjoyed the steak Stromboli and garlic knots, both of which were fantastic. We'll definitely return! The only "disappointment" was the lack of hard cider available on tap or by bottle.

I had my doubts going in, and unfortunately, this place lived up to my expectations. The noodles were overcooked, there was hardly any cheese, just two small meatballs, and a low-quality Italian sausage. To top it off, it was overpriced at $17. This was a terrible experience.

I've been to Johnny Brusco's at least twice, and it was excellent! I ordered pizza each time, and I cannot say that I've ever had any better pizza. It is making me really hungry for some as I think about it, and write this review. I received good customer service, and the price was fair. I look forward to going there again sometime when I am in that area.

This is a nice, spacious restaurant but I was disappointed with the pizza quality. We had a nice server so I’d come back for appetizers drinks. The menu is full of a variety of items but for a pizza joint that was a major deal breaker.
