Bidrage med feedbackWe started with an acorn squash salad which was very unique and tasty. For entrees my wife had the Black Bass and I ordered the Petite Filet. Both dishes were wonderful. My filet was a medium rare cooked perfectly with a delightful fennel side dish. For dessert we shared a CHOUX CRACKLIN' a pastry with Smoked Chocolate, Marshmallow, and Caramel. It was quite good.
Had a wonderful anniversary dinner with great food and drink in a quiet main dining room with great service.

Each time I visit 80 Thoreau I'm reminded why it's one of my favorite restaurants. I participated in their special Tomato and Corn tasting menu, featuring the best of the local harvest. It was spectacular. Most surprising was the tomato galette, which was subtly sweet, savory, and fresh. From start to finish the meal was a true showcase for local produce. I also got to sample some dishes from the regular menu. The pork belly was an umami explosion and the duck was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The service is paced well and I never feel rushed. I appreciate how they allow time between courses while at the same time empty plates are whisked away with efficiency. I'll go back again and again.
