Typical Italian restaurant with good food and wine! Quick and friendly service we are very happy after a nice dinner here with typical Italian dishes. I will come back here next time in Como.

The excessively (and unjustifiably) long waiting times for otherwise VERY basic dishes (which seem made of canned ingredients) do not support the disproportionally high prices.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel for our last night in Italy and our anniversary. Our server was nice, but he couldn’t make up for a terrible meal. It’s the first time we’ve ever walked out without eating our meal. The polpette were lukewarm and hard as rocks, as if they were frozen. It took over an hour to get out meals. The risotto tasted as if it was from a box, and the carbonara was inedible. We’ve had mostly wonderful meals in Italy, one mediocre meal, and this one was simply not good. Giving two stars because the server was trying, and perhaps it was just a really off night.

Situato nel cuore pedonale della città di como, vicino alla famosa cattedrale, il ristorante sociale è uno dei ristoranti più consigliati della città ... abbiamo seguito questo consiglio e abbiamo trovato una bella camera a volta che sembra una grotta, un ambiente caldo e accogliente. abbiamo assaggiato la cucina tradizionale e locale. carni sono assolutamente fantastici, così come le carni ( menzione speciale per capesante e fegato di vitello). I dolci non devono essere meno, tutti fatti in casa! prezzi ragionevoli (25 € a persona per un antipasto, corso principale e dessert con accompagnamento).

We had a reservation for three persons and got a table at the patio. Food was amazing, however, our experience was ruined by the bad service. We accidentally spilled a drink (we got a two persons table for three persons, so the table was really crowded). The waiter was really upset with us and gave us a new table cloth, which we had to change ourselves. When he took away the wet table cloth, he threw the cloth aggressively away and did not speak or look at us during the whole process. Afterwards he ignored us for the whole evening, even when we apologized. When it started raining, we were asked to get inside after which we were ignored a long time again by the new waiter. After he finally come, he was friendly. All together, the food experience was great, the service was very disappointing.
