Island Empanada - Commack

I won’t be ordering from here again. My orders are always messed up in one way or another. This time, I received buffalo chicken empanadas instead of the chipotle beef I wanted, and they weren’t even good. The plantains were undercooked and hard. I really wouldn’t recommend wasting your time here. I just wish there were cheese-free options available at other places. Looks like I’ll be skipping empanada delivery from now on. What a shame...

The empanadas were delicious, but we didn't receive the other items we ordered and had to pay extra for them to be delivered later.

The empanadas are delicious; however, the Guava Cream Cheese Empanada is excessively sweet, with an overwhelming amount of guava and very little cream cheese. The plain chicken wings lacked any seasoning whatsoever.

The Traditional Beef empanadas, the green sauce and the red sauce are very tasty.

I really love this place—the food is absolutely delicious! However, I had a bit of an issue last night after enjoying my order and ended up feeling quite unwell the next morning. Despite that, the food was so good that I decided to order again the next day. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a big mistake. I found a bug in my sofrito potato ball... and once again, I had stomach troubles. I truly adore the flavors here, but I'm not sure if I can take the risk of ordering again, which is disappointing. If I were rating just the taste, it would definitely be five stars. As for the quality, it varies; sometimes it's fantastic, other times there's a bug. And as for the aftermath... well, let's just say that's not great either!
