Hip Hop Fish Chicken - Clinton

I’m giving this place 2 stars because most of the catfish nuggets I had were slimy and greasy. Biting into them felt like I was eating goo filled with oil. As for the fries, they were also disappointing, rated at a 2/10. They might have been decent if they hadn’t been soaked in grease from the catfish nuggets resting on top of them.

The food is consistently quite good, and the service is also reliable—I've had no problems with the staff, who are generally very accommodating. While the dining area could be slightly cleaner, it's not dirty by any means. If you enjoy fried seafood, this place is a great option for takeout. The seasoning is flavorful and has earned a reputation as "crack seasoning" because it's incredibly addictive!

The food is consistently served hot, with the perfect amount of that special seasoning sprinkled over the fish and chicken. The customer service is excellent, with staff who are always polite and willing to help. As for the ambiance, it has a casual carry-out setup, but there are a few tables if you prefer to dine in. There's also a beverage fountain available for refills. Just a tip: be sure to enjoy the food while it’s hot, as it simply doesn’t taste the same reheated the next day.

The fish was overly salty, and I received just two small pieces of perch. The meal was supposed to come with two sides, but they charged me an extra $0.99 for the salad and only provided one additional side. The register attendant kept insisting that the system automatically added the $0.99 for the salad. When I pointed out that my meal was supposed to include two sides, they informed me that they didn’t have the salad available. They removed the charge but only gave me one extra side. I recommend double-checking your receipt and order before leaving to ensure that you receive everything as advertised and aren’t charged extra.
