Bidrage med feedbackI visited the restaurant on Sunday, August 14, 2022, but unfortunately, it has since closed down. I really enjoyed their food; it was very authentic Jamaican cuisine.
This is hands down the best restaurant in Clemson, SC! It's my first time writing a review, but this place inspired me to share my experience. The food was so good that I returned the very next day. The jerk chicken and stew chicken are incredibly delicious and flavorful, and the homemade ginger pineapple drink is absolutely delightful. Unfortunately, I just found out that it seems to be closed now.
I ordered the J Chicken combo. Unfortunately, the rice was a bit dry. However, the cabbage was excellent. The J Chicken, on the other hand, was disappointing. While the seasoning was tasty, nearly every piece of chicken on my plate was mostly bone—about 85%. It really wasn’t worth the price, as it felt like I was paying for sides and marinated bones.
The food was very good and I got more than I expected. My heritage is Trinidadian ?? which means I tend to expect more flavors and spice in my food but this Jamaican ?? restaurant was more than adequate. Much respect and love to the owner, cook and staff. Thank you.
I am new to the area and was craving some Jamaican beef patties so I decided to give Caribbean Hut a try. I walked out without even trying any of the food because they only had chicken patties and not beef (which is listed on their menu). You want to know how to lose a first time customer, not having what they were craving and the reason why they came. I do not understand how a Jamaican food establishment can run out of the most quintessential street foods in Jamaica. Would give zero stars if I could. Will definitely never be returning.
