Al's Upstairs Italian

I love this place. The food is excellent, like authentic Italian done right. Some of the hosts pretend it’s pretentious but the servers are like, nah. The desserts are…wow! Save room! Now the music is funeral home level stuff. Stop that! Play some Ella, or Frank, or Tony and it’s the best place in Columbia!

Food, service, and ambiance was bland at best. The food didn't have any taste. I had a steak and it was though it came from the microwave. Thank goodness it came with veggies. Was there for a graduation party. When arrived the staffed looked confused and overwhelmed. They were nice but jusy didn't seem to keep up with all what was going on in the restaurant. The establishment look like it couldn't accommodate their vision. People were everywhere. Even if they weren't apart of your party. … – show

Great time celebrating my birthday. The lobster bisque was awesome! The Sea Bass and Pasta A la Al was equally outstanding. Great food great service with dynamite view.

Excellent food and service, as always. Loved the veal and risotto. Cheesecake was perfect dessert to end a great birthday dinner.

The experience was excellent! The flounder was crispy and delicious, and the service and ambiance were all outstanding. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive, making our visit even more enjoyable.
