Bidrage med feedbackThe room I stayed in was wonderful—spotless and well-maintained. The service was excellent, although the location has a limited choice of restaurants. The hotel’s own restaurant is quite good, and I recommend it if you're staying here. Unfortunately, during my stay in August 2023, they weren’t serving breakfast due to staffing shortages. However, the dinner menu offered a nice variety, and I highly recommend the New York strip steak. Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you appreciate historic buildings and unique places to stay. Room Quality: The rooms are clean, well-preserved, and in excellent condition. Nearby Activities: Restaurant options in the vicinity are limited. Safety: The hotel and its surroundings are safe. Walkability: The area isn’t highly walkable, but traffic is manageable, making it feasible to walk to nearby spots. Food and Drinks: The hotel has a restaurant serving lunch and dinner, but there was no breakfast available during my visit in August 2023. Noteworthy Detail: The hotel is rumored to be haunted.
What a fantastic spot to relax with a cold drink after hiking in the Canyon! I ordered a beer at the bar and struck up a conversation with the bartender, who was friendly and full of great suggestions for things to do in the area. After finishing my second beer, I decided to explore the upstairs haunted building museum. It's fascinating to see some famous names that take you back to the days when this small mountain town was lit by candlelight. It’s also worth stopping by for a meal, whether you choose to dine indoors or outdoors. The photos alone are a must-see, showcasing what Cimarron looked like during the hotel’s heyday.
I worked and lived here 26 years ago, taking on various roles such as bartender, front desk staff, maintenance, kitchen help, and groundskeeper. I was familiar with every detail and corner of this hotel. Everything is beautiful, and it's great to see that the old place is still thriving. Rooms: 5/5.
Main hotel is awesome. Historic with lots of character making a guest feel like they are back in the 1880's. Furnishings are period. The restaurant is not open Tue or Wed. Definitely worth a visit even if not staying.
A must stop if you are a history buff. To much history to list here. I recommend you research it tho. It's a beautiful hotel with nice rooms. Some have private bathrooms some don't. Staff is friendly and Lamberts ,the restaurant located in the hotel, is first rate food. Several quaint businesses located within walking distance.Rooms: 4/5
