Amtrak Metropolitan Lounge - Chicago

This is a fantastic spot to unwind between train journeys. I can securely store my luggage, enjoy a snack, and then stroll through the lovely historic station or take a short walk to Lou Mitchell's Way 66 Diner.

This is a lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere. The staff is friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They have a small bar and offer light snack options. Additionally, luggage storage is available, along with shower facilities.

We were warmly welcomed by George, who was not only professional but also very friendly. He made sure we had everything we needed. We were particularly impressed by the cleanliness of the bathrooms, especially the showers. George is an exceptional member of your team. Thank you, George, for your dedication and passion for your work!

It's not bad. The staff is friendly, but the food/bed 's are meager and yes, they seem overwhelmed when the transcon trains arrive in the middle of each day. If NYPenn Moynihan Hall is 5*, this is 3*.

Worst lounge I can ever remember being in. The Snacks are chips and pretzels, no water, Uncomfortable seats and no bathrooms. When I asked the attendant for a bottle of water she pointed to the water fountain. I definitely wouldn’t pay to come in here. I only regret that I was looking forward to this as a perk to my sleeper car reservation.
