The Golden Egg has really improved since new management took over. As a regular, I always find my favorite drink waiting for me at my usual booth or table when I walk in, and I'm greeted with a friendly smile and my name. They prioritize both quantity and quality, so you definitely get your money's worth. Plus, the range of specials they offer ensures that both new and longtime patrons continue to return.

I had a wonderful experience at the Golden Egg, where the food was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. I was especially impressed with the service. When we arrived, my two-year-old son was pretty cranky, but the server was quick to soothe him and even managed to get a smile out of him. The food was fantastic—my son opted for pancakes while I enjoyed some beer and shrimp. Thankfully, they had everything we wanted! I highly recommend the Golden Egg to everyone.

Fantastic diner! We love going to 'The Egg' – we’ve never had a bad meal there. The American fries are excellent, the burgers are top-notch, and even the salads are good! They have a liquor license, so you can enjoy a Bloody Mary, beer, or cocktail with your meal! The staff is friendly and welcoming, there's a sit-anywhere policy, a great menu, and the service is fast and friendly. It's the best in Cedar Rapids!

If u walk in expecting a concierge at the door...u r on glue. This is a family style resturant with good food. Good, better than the greasy chain options.
