Bidrage med feedbackStopped in while visiting my family and so glad I did! Love empanadas and they surely know what they're doing! Location was in these office buildings, once you pull into the parking, take a right and you'll see their door! Ordered a whole bunch of different flavors. Got the Philly cheesesteaks (I'm visiting from Philly and it was pretty good! Also tried their Argentinian Chicken and Pork Belly! Their dough is so good, slightly sweet, but not overwhelming. Love they have dipping sauces that come with every empanada order and they also provide you with recommended pairings. Even my mom (who is Filipino and makes her own empanadas liked them and she's a hard critic : The portion for 1 empanada is generous, I was full after 1.5 empanadas and that was all i ate for lunch. My niece got the teriyaki chicken bowl which looked really good. I highly recommend this place! Will definitely be back when I'm visiting the family again. They also cater, which is an idea for my fellow Filipinos to bring to those family parties
Grabbed like 8 of them to split with my brother. The Argentinian beef was the standout. The guava and cheese dessert one was delish too...but the amount of filling was very disappointing/skimpy, so skimp alert. Everything else ranged from okay to meh. Tbh, for gourmet pricing at $6 per empanada, I expected better.
Empanada ahah Delicious. I've tried several empanada restaurants in the area and this is definitely one of the best. Here's what I like. Large selection of different options, and they all look so good you'll be tempted to try them all. I ordered 7 total: 5 were dinner style and 2 were more like dessert. I'll tell you they were all really good, so instead of me telling you which ones to get, just order a bunch. Except for the dessert options, each empanada comes with sauce which you can pick. There's maybe 6 different sauces, so I ordered a different sauce for each so I could try them all.
Yes, I am happy, Savory Crust is 3 minutes from my place and have good empanadas. As a spoiled Argentinian I am very picky about empanadas. I have not yet tasted better empanadas than the ones in Argentina. A few Argentinian restaurants may come close, but there is no place like home . Today I decided to stop at Savory, hidden inside an industrial office complex and busy several people picking up orders. A menu full of goodies from empanadas to rice bowls to desserts. Filipino dough is delicious thicker than Argentinian. The filling was tasty, moist, and flavorful. The empanadas are served with a side of sauce your choice. I picked chimichurri, sriracha sauce with something, and avocado alioli. All sauces yummy. Two empanadas with a salad made for a very satisfying meal. I have 2 more leftover for tomorrow spinach cheese and samosa. Can 't wait!
Savory crust was a delightful surprise! It's tucked away in a business park, so it could be easy to miss, but it is like finding a treasure! It is only a pickup window, so no indoor seating, but the menu has a lot of different options of food and drinks. The dessert options are not to be ignored either, they were so delicious! The flavored horchatas seem a little expensive, but I promise you they are worth every penny. They are huge and full of flavor! Highly recommend this place!
