Hooked On Sushi - Carlsbad

I went here for lunch and had their mixed tempura appetizer. It was very good with exception to a couple of the vegetables. The zucchini tempura in particular was quite soggy. Other than that I would have given it 5 stars

I am crazy about sushi. I adore the hand rolls. The service is quick and the atmosphere is family-friendly.

I’ve eaten sushi here at least a dozen times and it’s always money well spent.

Reasonable price sushi great service. we had a california roll and another roll with crabs in it. good suppe and salate also on the combo. crab was not the freshest but satisfactory. space was clean and environment was comfortable. 50-50, if we're back here. Maybe we try different sushi rolls. destined to try if they are in the mood for sushi and not yet.

My wife and I both enjoy their California rolls. We like to top them off with a generous amount of wasabi and pickled ginger for an enhanced flavor. Their chicken teriyaki is also a favorite of ours, featuring tender chicken strips smothered in delicious Teriyaki sauce. Additionally, we always order their tempura, whether it's the mixed tempura with crispy vegetables and fried shrimp, or the sweet tempura with crispy batter covering zucchini, broccoli, butternut squash, green beans, and sweet potato. Overall, the food here is excellent. The dining experience will surely improve once the construction is completed. The current dining room is a bit cramped for my liking, especially when other patrons start coughing, which makes me feel a bit uneasy. Perhaps it's just my fear of COVID-19.
