Prashad Café Rondebosch (previously Maharajah Vegetarian)

A great vegan-friendly restaurant at the Baxter Theatre! I really enjoy their lunchtime buffet and the cakes they offer for tea. They also provide a discount for UCT students during lunch.

Whenever I'm craving some delicious comfort food, I always find myself at Prashad. Everything instantly feels better with their curry and naan in my life. I also appreciate that all their curries can be made vegan, which is what initially attracted me to this place.

What a fantastic dining experience! The butter bean curry and the soy butter chicken curry bunny chows were absolutely incredible. The heat level was just right (you get to choose your preference), and the food was served piping hot! The prices were very reasonable for such generous portions.

Great quality food at reasonable prices. I can quite honestly say that this is THE BEST Vegan Vegetarian food in town!!! I have tried a variety of their dishes over the past six weeks and can unquestionably say that their supreme quality and the deliciousness of their food is unmatched. Their attention to detail in the making of EVERY dish leaves something to be desired each and every time. Deliciousness with every bite! I’d recommend any and every one of their dishes and all of their samoosas

We recently celebrated Diwali and I so pleased that we chose Prashad Cafe in Rondebosch to cater our dinner. The experience was an absolute pleasure from start to end and not to mention the delicious vegetable feast. Thank you Prashad Tereena for making our Diwali special. See you again soon!
