Me and my friend had a huge meal of the Pork and Chicken combos that come with 2 sides, cornbread and lemon cake. You get a lot for your money especially since we got filled up so quickly! Meat was seasoned well and the beans were a good highlight. It'slaid back and I'd say a combo of dining/chilling since theres not really waiters, you grab your food, sit and enjoy. The insidewas decorated nicely with some seating outside. My friend said the food was a 10/10 and I agree it really had a home cookedfeel. It was both our first time in after a long day and we were looking forward to eating here. Nice experience overall!

Not good at all. Super tiny portions for the amount I paid. Food wasn't great at all. Got a tiny cube of cornbread and a literal sliver of pound cake. Chicken fingers were also very small and plain because they didn't put the sauce on like I asked. Thegreen beans had so many onions it was all I could taste. Items were missing: the sauce for the tenders was missing and my punchwas also missing. The mac and cheese had some green herb in it that made it taste weird. I was really looking to suffice my urgefor soul food and this place did not do it by any means!! Gross. Will not return.

Last night’s dinner was the best meal I’ve had in quite some time, and I’ve enjoyed some fantastic food recently. I ordered the four-piece chicken dinner with macaroni and cheese and fried zucchini, and I savored every bite. The service was incredibly friendly as well. I’ll definitely be returning for more. Hi, Ms. County—I heard you on NPR and would love to meet you, but it was too busy yesterday to do so. I’ll come in for lunch sometime to say hello!

I typically order the oxtails or the roast, which are both absolutely wonderful. However, this time I tried the fried chicken, and the grease tasted old and off. When I called to suggest that they should change it because of the unusual flavor, the woman who answered the phone was quite sarcastic and rude about it. Despite this experience, I still find the food to be good overall.

I usually consult reviews before trying a new restaurant, and this time was no different. I found this restaurant to be pretty good. The food was excellent—I ordered the oxtail dinner with rice, black-eyed peas, and cornbread. It was delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary piece of cake that I didn't expect. The only downside for me was the portion sizes; I would have preferred more oxtails and a bit less rice for the $23 price tag. However, I understand that oxtails can be pricey, and the flavors were very satisfying. The staff at the counter were also very friendly. I will definitely be coming back!
