There have been changes to this restaurant. It's very unclear what's going on. There is no wait list anymore, and now they're using TOAST app to reserve. They are opening a second location in Braintree. This locations raman tastes different now. It tastes like the portions of flavor are different, or measured differently. It's still good, but it definitely tastes like the kitchen changes somehow.
Delicious ramen! We ordered the Tan Tan and Gankara Miso. We adored our broths and all of the ingredients. The food arrived almost the moment after we ordered.My partner loved the sliced pork and ground pork, with a stronger preference for the latter. I love how many of the broths are vegetarian. I only wish they had vegetarian (or pescatarian) protein options other than egg, like tofu which is why I’m giving a 4 star. Plus the Tan Tan did not come with an egg, so that cost extra even when I did not get the pork.We’ll certainly be coming back to try the other broths.This restaurant has limited seating and is very popular so expect a wait! Vegetarian options: Some of soups can be ordered as vegetarian. Egg is the only vegetarian protein option.
Ganko might want to improve their food safety practices. My wife and I ate here yesterday and today we are both sick with food poisoning and other unpleasant symptoms you don’t want to hear about. We each had a bowl of ramen and karage with the cream sauce. The most likely culprit for our food poisoning seems to be the cream dipping sauce.
Broth and cha-shu are very rich. Probably my top three ramen places in town.
