Incredible new chef! The food was outstanding! The seafood was delicious, so don't pay attention to earlier reviews. This place is absolutely worth a visit. Authentic Portuguese cuisine bursting with flavor.

In Monte Casino, Fourways, the location is very convenient. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the decor was quite impressive. I will definitely be returning. If you enjoy Portuguese cuisine, you should definitely give it a try!

We had a delightful dinner. We ordered half a chicken with chips and a chicken prego with chips. The chicken portions were a bit small, but it was absolutely delicious. The chicken prego was tender and packed with flavor. The thinly sliced potato chips were fresh and very enjoyable. While the service wasn’t fast, the staff was friendly and attentive. It may not be fine dining, but it certainly made for a pleasant meal out.

Visited Portugalo today, a sunny and particularly hot day. We sat on the side next to the Teatro entrance. I’m very sensitive to the sun and asked if we could move the couch and table into the shade. Staff were more than accommodating and even moved other tables so that we had sufficient shade. All done with a smile! I’m not into crowds and found it quiet and relaxing on this side of the building. <br/ <br/ We ordered the beef croquettes for the table lovely. Main orders were: Pork ribs, chicken and chorizo pasta, prawn chicken curry and a prego roll. Happy tummies from all and meals were beautifully plated. <br/ For dessert, orders were: poached pears and cinnamon ice cream, strawberry cheesecake and the chocolate mousse. All highly recommended and perfect portion size. A great spot for a relaxing lunch! : Will be back.
