Bidrage med feedbackThe sushi here is amazing! I highly recommend it if you're in search of a traditional and straightforward menu that offers an abundance of freshness and top-quality fish.
Don't overlook this restaurant. The ingredients are incredibly fresh and of high quality. You can tell it's great when they don't load their dishes with mayo or fillers. It's the closest thing I've had to authentic sushi since my trip to Japan. We visited twice during our three-day trip, and we can’t wait to return!
Now, while the food is fantastic, the service was a bit inconsistent. I had trouble reading our waitress/hostess's demeanor. At times she was friendly, but at others she came off as somewhat distant. I suggest focusing on the incredible food and not letting the service detract from your experience, which should be all about enjoying that delicious fish. To clarify, the service wasn’t rude by any means; it just didn’t match the level of attentiveness we often expect in a fine dining setting in the U.S. Overall, I will definitely return whenever I’m in the Carmel area.
The sushi here is outstanding, both in flavor and presentation. Please note that they cannot accommodate large groups (more than 4 people). If you enjoy tofu, the homemade version is a must-try; it has a wonderfully smooth texture and a mild taste. I highly recommend their sushi selection. Although I usually don't favor mackerel or skipjack, they are definitely worth trying here. Two thumbs up!
