The Jindalee Hotel and Function Centre

Do not worry about this facility. not enough tables to host patrons, and there is nothing good to say about eating; bland and boring.

We went here on a Saturday night very early. We asked for a table and were informed that all the tables inside the restaurant were reserved and we would have to sit outside. Firstly this suited us perfectly as we wanted to sit outside...anyway. Secondly this impressed me and gave me high hopes for the place as it's a big restaurant and for all of the tables to be reserved like that must be a good sign. We took our seats outside right near the children's playground so we could keep an eye on them while they played. Both of our kids eagerly chose the chicken schnitzel with a side salad from the menu while my partner and I ordered the spaghetti bolognese (the day leading up to this meal was a big muck up and we just wanted to get the kids fed, have a small meal ourselves and then hit the road for our 3 hour drive home). Ordering was easily done at the counter, but we were early and I imagine that this process could be a long one if you came during a rush/peak. The kids happily played the short time it took to bring our meals out. They were a really great size considering it was only $10.95. Really good value. The meals are normally $9.95 but you can order a small salad or veggies on the side for only an extra $1 and the meal comes with a drink and a dessert. Our bolognese was also very nice; plenty of parmesean and a nice dollop of basil pesto. It was also a great size for only $16. We finished our meal as the kids worked on their activity books that also came with the kids meals they even through in a third activity book for our 1 year old even though he didn't get his own meal. Watching some of the people around us receive their (more interesting) meals and they all looked fantastic. It didn't look like generic pub food, everything looked like they put extra effort into making it better. Overall it was a really great evening and if we're ever in the area again we will definitely return.
