My husband and I held a private dinner here for some friends during our wedding weekend, and it was the ideal venue! The room was lovely and inviting, the food was fantastic, and the staff was incredibly accommodating, actively bringing our vision for the event to life. Thank you very much!

I experienced truly disappointing treatment during my visit. Last year, around 7 PM on a Wednesday before leaf-peeping season, we walked in for dinner and were rudely informed by the hostess that if we didn’t have a reservation, we would have to wait an hour. Since we had heard good things about the place, we agreed to wait. We then asked if we could sit at the bar and order drinks while we waited, but we were told no due to a lack of staff, even though there were already people sitting at the bar. We didn’t do anything to warrant such hostility. This year, we chose to go to River Grill, and it was fantastic! Best of luck to them.

The tomato tart on a thin crust was absolutely delicious and simply perfect—definitely a must-try! I had the lamb chops, which I found very enjoyable; they were cooked to perfection. The service was prompt and attentive as well. I was visiting from the Seattle area over the weekend of the 1st, and I will definitely return on my next trip to Vermont.

We had the seafood stew and chicken Cordon Bleu special. Wonderful food, prepared just right. The coffee and pastries for dessert were fabulous as well. Friendly service, great atmosphere.

We usually have a great experience in this restaurant, however every thing was off last Sunday dinner. There were ton of house flies indoors and was very annoying. Our waitress was very unfriendly and did not come back to our table for the entire 1.5hours. I kept asking other waitresses for help. Just very disappointing because it's not a cheap restaurant. Giving 4 starsonly because the breakfast was amazing with incredible waitress. She saved the day.
