Bidrage med feedbackI tried the Sticky Sticky Bun from Flour a long time ago and had forgotten just how huge it is! I really appreciate Flour's prices, especially since pastries tend to be quite pricey elsewhere these days. This bun was $5.25. The name is quite appropriate because it really is sticky and incredibly indulgent. Surprisingly, it's not overly sweet, making it possible to finish it in one sitting, though I recommend sharing it like I did. Flour lists the ingredients for all their pastries online, but it would be helpful if they could also provide the nutritional information.
As you enter, you'll find a large menu to choose from, as well as a dessert case displaying the delicious treats available for purchase. The barista at the front was extremely friendly, contributing to the warm atmosphere. The interior has a trendy, modern coffee shop vibe, making it an ideal spot to hang out with friends or to settle in for some studying. There are plenty of small tables for indoor seating, making it a great place to visit after dinner. I tried the Tcho chocolate cream pie, which was rich and full of flavor. The balance between the cream, pie filling, and crust was just right, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I would definitely return to sample other desserts or drinks on the menu and would recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet treat in the South End.
We decided to have breakfast here because it was conveniently located across from our hotel. I ordered an iced coffee with oat milk, which was excellent, along with a hefty breakfast sandwich featuring sausage. The sandwich was substantial, and the house-made aioli added a surprisingly strong kick. The place was bustling, with people constantly coming and going—there was a line that stretched all the way to the seating area, and diners inside and outside. It felt a bit chaotic, especially since we chose to dine in. The indoor seating area was quite small, and we opted not to sit outside due to ongoing construction. While I thought the prices were a bit high, we had a pleasant overall experience.
Good and tasty breakfast that saved the day. We wanted to go to The Friendly Toast for breakfast, but despite going early, the wait was an hour and a half when we got there. Nope! Came to Flour instead since it was just a few steps away. They were also very busy with a long line, but it moved quickly. You also have the option to use the self service machine to order instead of getting in the main line. After ordering we waited less than 10 minutes for our food which wasn't bad at all. Our breakfast sandwiches were so good and filling. Great prices here too.
One of the best sandwich and breakfast spots in Boston. Always adding great new seasonal sandwiches. Great customer service with any issues that may arise. Boasting a nice outdoor patio for nice weather. They also just upgraded their app making ordering for regulars even more convenient.
