Crazy Cajun - Birmingham

The seafood gumbo lacked variety in seafood, containing only shrimp and sausage with rice. The roux had a slight raw flour flavor, but I appreciated the dark color. The oyster Po'boy on Gambino's bread had a limited amount of oysters and the bread was not toasted.

My husband ordered crawfish. He said that was awesome. I ordered the grilled shrimp platter. The shrimp was good, just not a lot. I believe I got 6 or 8 shrimps. The sides were terrible though.

(Cajun girls here) We came here for the skein, they were amazing. The spices were cooked to perfection and there was spice for sure! highly recommended and we will return

It's normally top notch. However they are not open today I guess. The hours listed say they should open. Oh well.Went last week, they were open. Excellent as usual. 1-13-22

If you like crawfish, this is the place to go. They do a great job of balancing spice, not too much that you want to die, but it is for sure present. Insider tip: I heard the waiter say that crawfish come in on Tuesday’s and fridays, so that’s the best day to go in and get the freshest tasting crawfish.
