Bidrage med feedbackI was blown away by the incredible quality of sukiyaki at Ima in New York. Unlike shabu shabu, sukiyaki is a delicious dish where thinly sliced wagyu beef is cooked in a sweet soy sauce. I was impressed by the top-notch quality of the beef, which was not frozen and expertly sliced. The Chef's Choice sukiyaki set left us feeling extremely satisfied, and the service was impeccable. Our server cooked and served our food, explaining each dish with great detail. While I wished there were more vegetables included in the meal, the dessert of matcha and ganache with homemade ice cream was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. I highly recommend visiting Ima and trying their sukiyaki - it's a must-try experience!
Food was amazing! brought me back to the onsens in Japan.
The food wasn’t flavorful. I didn’t realize the shabu shabu wagyu beef was cooked in a broth either (my mistake) but I wasn’t a fan of how it was prepared. It tasted plain. We also ordered many of the appetizers beforehand and they lacked flavor and substance too. Maybe fine dining is suppose to be plain but I was disappointed by the food (especially given the price). Overall, the dishes weren’t rememberable. The service was great though — the staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Very classic and stylish at the same time. We had a great dinner. We thought less amount of food would be served compared to the price but I was wrong. They take their time and serves food with a proper pace and amount Loved it
