Bidrage med feedbackAlgerian baked goods and sweets at their best! Incredibly, this tiny sidewalk cafe makes all their own pastries and sweets on-site. The owner/baker/muffin maker is almost always there, making community and croissant sandwiches. Seating on the sidewalk will, with great good luck, be upgraded soon with a parklet.
The cashier was super nice, kind and informative. The scent reminds me of old Algiers ; It truly is a small piece of Algeria in Berkeley.I’d highly recommend this place if you are looking for the vibe and taste of Algeria .
This is an awesome bakery/cafe! It's Algerian/French pastries that are beautiful to look at, and taste amazing. The almond croissant sells out everday, it is so good. It's heavier than typical and packed with amazing filling.I tried the spicy meat sandwich, which is made from fresh, not frozen, meat; so it takes awhile to cook. Amazing, and he listened when I said mild! They are very polite and appreciative, which I love. I hope it stays for years as this is an amazing local place.
Amazing!!! Service, food, pastries, all of it!! This Is a hidden gem in Berkeley. I drive out here all the way from the Peninsula to get their Algerian sandwiches (merges—one of the BEST sandwiches I’ve ever had), sodas (Hamoud and selecto) and their
We are constantly in search of the blissful experience of perfect foods in this case it is the magnificent croissant! Having seen many of the Bay areas top rated spots I must say why wait in line, why be restricted on what you can purchase, why be directed what to do by a host that should be a prison guard! This is a true hidden gem. I look for an overall experience, the host must master hospitality, have a unique cool spot that creates a certain ambiance and they must be dedicated to their craft. Cafe Belmo is all that and more. I truly thank them for delivering one of the best bakery experiences anywhere. Thank you!!!
