Roadhaven Cafe - BERESFIELD

This is my favorite spot! We always make sure to stop here during our trips from Queensland to Sydney. The only time I was disappointed was when my favorite server was off that night. The food was still fantastic, but I was sad not to see him. I truly love this place and always look forward to my next visit, hoping to say hello. I always order bacon and scrambled eggs with hot chocolate, and it's made perfectly every time. I couldn't be happier!

The staff were very friendly. I requested a simple salad sandwich without meat, and they created a delicious and fresh one for me! They used paper bags for takeout instead of plastic, which I really appreciated. I give it a thumbs up!

I couldn’t even express my apologies. I haven’t been with this business for long. I ordered a roasted ham sandwich, which was quite good until I took my second bite. That's when I discovered a hard piece of plastic lodged in my mouth. I went up to the person at the register and asked to speak with her about it. She was very nice and apologized, offering me a refund. However, she called over someone else who told me they had no idea what I was talking about and that there was nothing like that in their food. I just wanted to let her know that I had hurt my gum, but she couldn’t even say she was sorry and insisted again that they had nothing like that. When I left, I pointed out to her that she couldn't even apologize. Eventually, she did apologize, but I left without a refund. Honestly, I wasn't shouting or making a scene. I have no idea where the plastic piece came from, but I know my gum is bleeding because of it. Next time, they should try to be more understanding instead of so defensive.

I ordered a roasted ham and cheese Turkish sandwich, but it was hot rather than roasted and had very little filling, making it quite disappointing. My companion had the wedges, which were cold and seemed they had come straight out of the freezer. I would definitely not return to this restaurant.
