Leo's Place Diner

At a glance the menu looks great. A variety of options from your standard diner fare to more healthy variations. However, I don't think a single spice was used in cooking this meal. We both ordered omelettes with toast and home fries. The toast was the most flavorful item on the plate. Atmosphere is great, prices were great, service was great, just wish the food was better.

Staff doesn't use gloves during food prep. Consistent cross contamination is obvious. I liked this place until I actually saw them preparing my food and now I can't unsee it. Especially watching the cooks also handle cash or menus and then going straight to touching ingredients. Stomach wrenching.

We stopped in for breakfast...Leo's Place was good! Excellent choices are on the menu, with plenty that are suitable for a Lacto-Ovo vegetarian. Homefries look seasoned, but aren't! I fixed that with salt, pepper, and hot sauce. Speaking of which, they have over a dozen different types of hot sauces available for use. Coffee was great, and service was pleasant and prompt.

Living history. Best diner you will find. We went back twice more just for a style of diner now feeling under threat.

The waiter was a total jerk. We were stunned with the (Armenian not Greek) waiter. Maybe that's the image they want (insult your guests). Was like a guy who didn't want to be there or just couldn't care less. Jerk. Took a guest with me as it maybe had a good reputation. She said NEVER again! She's right. Hard NO to the jerk.
