Best chicken teriyaki! Always delicious food, never disappoints

Clearly an institution in Waltham with an elderly early dining crowd. The mixed drinks really are a great value (skip their so-called fine wine) and the food is respectable. My steak was overcooked compared to how I ordered it so I think they have cooks not chefs, but it seems like a historic venue with diehard fans who return regularly. Worth a visit if you are in the area to say you ate the crabmeat pie and had one of their awesome margaritas. I ordered the pomegranate margarita with Patron tequila and Patron citronage for the liquors, tasted great ? and less-filling ?

Not family friendly. Don’t come here if you have kids. And if you do brace yourself if the manager Laurie is working that day. My family I, a large party of 20, went there today to have lunch for Easter and just her greeting alone when I walked in with my kids rubbed me the wrong way. Very cold and she almost seemed annoyed. But I brushed it off, whatever. Now granted we did have 9 kids with us and I personally was trying my best to keep them under control but they were laughing and just being kids. Not being super unruly or anything in my opinion. She came over and told us the kids were being too disruptive and they were getting lots of complaints about it. She also threw in that “this isn’t a banquet hall”. Mind you we were pretty secluded aside from 2 other tables of older people near us. If that were true, she certainly could have approached this situation differently and handled it in a much better manner. She was incredibly rude about it and honestly as a mom of 3 young kids it was very triggering. People like her are the reason moms feel hesitant and insecure about bringing their children out to places like this. Shame on her and Grassfields you should be embarrassed to have someone like this working in a management position, or any position for that matter, at your restaurant. Lost our entire family as customers for sure. Which is a shame because we’ve been here many times before and we never had an issue like this. I will add though that we all felt really bad for our waitress because she was very sweet. What a shame. Do better Grassfields.

OK, this is a rating for my food and service only!I ordered teriyaki steak tips ordered medium for doneness, which came out well done! 22$ sent them back, and all the other food came out, so i ate the rice that came with the tips. Took a while to find the waitress, and she refired another order. When they came out, guess what? Well done for most of the tips. The problem is that the tips are all different size pieces, small, medium, and large. They all cook at different times, and they will never be able to cook them all at the same temperature. I would rather have 3 big pieces of steak tips instead of 6 different size hockey pucks! Service was very slow. Other tables came in after us and left before us. All the other food was pretty good. I know people have off days, but we had two kids under 5. Would go back, but would not order any of their steak.

Grassfields. Good yesterday, today and tomorrow. Great bread, The menu is solid. We're going back.
