Pho Viet Cafe - Bend

I appreciated that they were very upfront about their vegan options. The flavors were a bit lacking, I suspect their non-vegan dishes are more flavorful, but it was great to have choices. I tried the pho and tofu salad rolls.

I would recommend asking if they use MSG in their Pho, as it seemed to have that flavor. The Lemongrass Tofu is fried in equipment that is also used for other foods. If these factors and the price are not a concern for you, this restaurant is truly authentic with very friendly owners.

This appears to be a family run place and everyone working there seemed very happy to be there. It also appears to be very popular among the locals; while I was there, the host boisterously greeted several people by name... clearly this restaurant has a lot of regulars. It's a very small, dive y place, but had a nice vibe. I ordered the vegetable pho very clean and fresh.

Good food, good price, and the staff is very attentive.

There are a lot of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu at this restaurant. I tried the vegetable pho and the crispy vegetable rolls and both were delicious. The tofu in the soup was cooked perfectly, although I wish there were some mushrooms in it as well. Overall, the food was very good but a bit expensive. (Review updated on August 26, 2023)
