Bidrage med feedbackThe service at the restaurant was satisfactory. However, I think the tables could have been improved with tablecloths as they looked quite dull.
We had a delightful afternoon tea to celebrate my mother's birthday. The setting was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The prices were very reasonable as well.
The food at this restaurant was delicious and expertly prepared. Despite being located in a remote area, the ingredients used were surprisingly high quality. Our group of 8 visited this restaurant between London and Bedford at 5 pm. It seems that we arrived during a shift change, as we were forgotten about for a while. Although we had booked for afternoon tea through Open Table, the restaurant did not have our reservation and offered us the dinner menu instead. However, the food turned out to be better than expected. I imagine that if you visit during a more regular time, you will have a fantastic, charming, and delicious experience.
Disappointing. Having got married at the Barns, we had been looking forward to returning. We had one afternoon tea previously which was excellent. This one was not. The sandwiches were edible, but rather lack lustre. The scones were the best thing on the tea, but the cakes were just sponge slices and two mini macaroons. Coffee was as expected. We asked for bottomless Prosecco as previously, but our young server Tom, who did his best was clearly unsure, but provided entertainment in watching him move tables outside through the window. It was at that time we were awaiting service. It was sad for us, especially as we felt we had some kind of affinity with The Barns.
Service was good. filz the tables had tablecloths, looked very boring
