Bidrage med feedbackThis is my second visit, and the food remains delicious. They have implemented a new system where you place your orders before heading to your designated table, which I find to be much more organized. One of the best aspects for me is that they are a pet-friendly restaurant.
We only went there for a meal and I wouldn’t recommend it if you're looking for quick service. The food takes at least 40 minutes to arrive, and the portion sizes are quite small. The taste of the food is average. The location is lovely and definitely Instagram-worthy, as the dining area is located in floating huts on the lake, but if you're there for the food, it might not be worth it.
This is a great place to dine, featuring a pleasant ambiance and excellent Filipino cuisine, particularly the specialties from Lucban. The courteous staff adds to the overall enjoyable experience. It's an ideal spot to bring visitors for a meal, and they also offer comfortable rooms for overnight stays.
If you're looking for a unique dining experience that combines great Filipino food with a beautiful ambiance, Kamayan at Palaisdaan Restaurant is definitely worth checking out. The restaurant's floating huts in a pond of tropical fishes offer a tranquil and serene setting for lunch or dinner, and the lush garden greenery adds to the refreshing atmosphere. The Filipino food is also a highlight of the restaurant, with a variety of delicious dishes that showcase the best of the country's cuisine. From traditional dishes like adobo and sinigang to more adventurous options like crispy pata and kare-kare, the menu is sure to satisfy any foodie's cravings. While the overall experience is impressive, it is worth noting that Kamayan at Palaisdaan is quite pricey compared to other local restaurants, so it may not be the best option for those on a tight budget. Additionally, some guests have reported that the service can be slow, which may be a drawback for those in a rush. However, despite these minor issues, Kamayan at Palaisdaan is still one of the best local restaurants to take visitors from abroad or other localities. The ambiance alone is enough to impress, and when combined with the delicious food and refreshing garden setting, it creates an unforgettable dining experience.
We were given a treat here. The place is along the national highway, so it was very accessible. There was a queue when we got there but because we reserved, we were immediately ushered to our floating hut. As you enter, the place opens up to this man made lake/pond surrounded by floating huts and greenery. They serve Filipino food with known specialties from contiguous areas. Memorable dishes for me were the crispy pata (perfectly crisped skin and tender meat inside) and grilled pampano. Everything else was just right grilled liempo, tilapia sa gata, grilled eggplant in gata (spicy), and pancit habhab (had extra serving of lumban's longganiza). We also ordered the chocolate mochi, halo halo, and buko pandan. I loved that the halo halo was served without sugar. Instead they give you sugar packets which you may add to the halo halo depending on the level of sweetness you prefer. Music floats from the table hopping singers (like non stop karaoke). The carps in the pond also offer relaxing entertainment. Everywhere is greenery. Nice place for family gathering and for bringing guests and even foreigners.
