The Parker Pie Company - Barton

They make excellent pizza and salads here. Not a lot of indoor seating but if you come on a nice day the patio is lovely!

Parkie pie is my favourite pizza spot in town, and has become a staple when visiting from montreal to see a bread and puppet show. i highly recommend the green mountain special pie !

We’ve always looked forward to eating at Parker Pies when visiting the NEK. This visit was very disappointing. The food was not good. Something has changed since the last visit a couple of years ago. The pizza was flavorless and the dough seemed to be either previously frozen or factory made. Just not good at all. They still have a great beer selection, although we weren’t drinking, so that didn’t account for much. Oh well, another Vt eatery off the list.

We came and ate here Friday evening. We had a Grek pizza and a BBQ chicken; the BBQ pizza was really sweet and the Green really salty. We had no service, not the plates served at the tables but we had to go get the cutlery ourselves, we wonder why we give tips, we also pay first at the counter. The waiter who came to us seemed to really want his service to end, so he made us understand in his own way not to hang around. So unfortunately for me it's not good service, nor incredible cuisine, it only helps.

Excellent place to sit, enjoy great food and visit.
