I always buy my bread from this bakery whenever I can. If they offered mail order, I'd continue to buy from them no matter where I was in the country. I have stopped looking for a bakery that comes close to the quality of theirs. It may sound exaggerated, but it's true – their bread is exceptional. How do they achieve such a rich umami flavor in a simple sourdough loaf? The first bite is like indulging in slow-cooked brisket from a sous vide, or as close to that experience as you can get with bread. Their pastries are just as incredible. I tried a sausage roll and the pastry was like delicate shards of edible glass – no grease, just a satisfying crunch. While I have visited other fantastic bakeries across the country, none quite compare to this one. It seems like they have discovered a secret ingredient that sets their bread apart as top-tier. I am truly grateful to the owners for creating something so extraordinary.

The food is stunning and expertly prepared. Every dish I have tried has been delicious. The pizza is the best I have ever had.

In Barrow for my wife's chemo, we were looking for somewhere to eat when her appointment was delayed and came here. What a great and what a find! Friendly service, lovely atmosphere and delicious toastie and coffee. An oasis on a traumatic day. Good luck!

We've been here quite a few times. Today was a sunny day, so we sat outside, enjoying other people's dogs, and chilling. We ordered our breakfast.... the Breakfast Stack. If you expect rapidly served, pre-prepared rubbish, you have come to the wrong place. The food is cooked fresh. It'll take a bit of time. More dog fussing time. Then the Stack arrived. I cannot begin to describe it without using the words excellent ingredients, fresh, tasty, explosion of flavours.... so I won't. Try it for yourself.... oh, and buy a Sourdough Loaf to take home. Incredible. Can't wait until next time.

I bought a county sourdough loaf here and a blackberry cheesecake last week.The loaf was just superb blowing anything away you would but in a supermarket.Toasted for breakfast was even better.The cheesecake was so fresh you wouldnt buy one elsewhere after this.Be back very shortly
